From Owaisi to Yusuf Pathan… 24 Muslim MPs who reached Parliament


New Delhi: Members of the 10th Lok Sabha elections have been elected. Soon a new government will also be formed. Modi government is going to be formed for the third time. The list of members of the 18th Lok Sabha has also been released. This time 24 Muslim MPs have been elected to the Parliament. This includes big faces like Yusuf Pathan, Asaduddin Owaisi and Iqra Chaudhary. A total of 78 Muslim candidates contested in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This also includes independent candidates. These are the big Muslim faces who reached the Parliament

Cricketer-turned-politician Yusuf Pathan contested the Lok Sabha elections for the first time. He was made the TMC candidate from Baharampur in West Bengal. The special thing is that Yusuf Pathan defeated Congress's Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary. In Uttar Pradesh, Congress' Imran Masood won the Saharanpur seat by a huge margin of 64,542 votes. In Kairana, Samajwadi Party's Iqra Chaudhary, who is one of the youngest MPs, won. Iqra defeated BJP's Pradeep Kumar by a margin of 69,116 votes.

Owaisi's victory continues from Hyderabad

At the same time, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi retained his stronghold in Hyderabad and defeated BJP leader Madhavi Lata by a huge margin of 3,38,087 votes. In Ladakh, independent candidate Mohammad Hanifa won by defeating Congress' Jamyang Tsering Namgyal. In the Lok Sabha elections, 7 Congress, 4 Samajwadi Party, 5 TMC, 3 IUML, 2 National Conference and 2 independent Muslim candidates have won and reached the Parliament.
