New Delhi: The exit poll results for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 have been released. According to these results, the NDA government seems to be formed in the country once again. However, the exit poll figures are far from the slogan given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi before the elections 'Abki Baar 400 Paar'. At the same time, just before the exit poll, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had also claimed that the Bharat Alliance would win more than 295 seats. The Congress, leading the opposition alliance, had put the most emphasis on the three states of the South. It was believed that the NDA could suffer heavy losses in these states. Now the exit poll results have told a different story.

Did Modi's charisma work in Karnataka?

Karnataka is number one among these three southern states. Congress had won the recent assembly elections here. Party's veteran leader and state's Deputy CM DK Shivakumar had claimed that Congress will win more than 20 out of 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka. But, the exit poll figures are different from his claim. According to the exit poll results of India Today-Axis My India, the Bharat Gathbandhan is seen getting only 3-5 seats in Karnataka with 41 percent vote share. At the same time, NDA can win 20 to 22 seats here by getting 55 percent vote share.

How many seats will NDA get in Telangana?

The second state which was a challenge for the NDA was Telangana. Here too, in the recently held assembly elections, Congress has formed the government by ousting BRS from power. Congress was confident of getting a strong lead here with the support of the state CM Revanth Reddy. However, in Telangana too, NDA has given a tough challenge to Congress. According to ABP C Voter Exit Poll, out of 17 seats in Telangana, NDA can win 7 to 9 seats. At the same time, Congress is also seen getting only 7-9 seats.

What is the position of NDA in Tamil Nadu?

The results of India Today-Axis My India exit poll for NDA in Tamil Nadu are shocking. Tamil Nadu politics had heated up after the controversy over Udhayanidhi Stalin's statement on Sanatan Dharma. Amidst the controversy, the opposition alliance 'Bharat' is estimated to get only 46 percent vote share in Tamil Nadu. On the other hand, 22 percent vote share can go to the account of NDA. In Tamil Nadu, which has 39 Lok Sabha seats, Bharat alliance is seen winning 33 to 37 seats. NDA can get 2 to 4 seats here.
