Be prepared for thunderstorms and rain in Delhi

The Meteorological Department has forecast that the national capital is likely to witness light rain with dust storm or drizzle and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kmph. According to the IMD, the weather in Delhi is changing due to the effect of the new western disturbance, giving relief to Delhiites from the scorching heat. According to the IMD bulletin, the minimum temperature in Delhi on Thursday was recorded at 24.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal. The Meteorological Department has forecast partly cloudy sky, light rain with dust storm or thunder and strong winds at a speed of 25 to 35 kmph on Friday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 43 and 29 degrees Celsius respectively.

Relief from heat for two days in NCR

People living in NCR are getting relief from scorching heat for two days. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain the same till June 9. The sky will remain cloudy. There may be light rain with strong winds, but on June 10, the people of NCR will have to face severe heat again. The mercury may cross 45 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, on June 7, the mercury will be around 43 degrees and there will be light clouds in the sky. On June 8, the mercury will be around 43 degrees and hot winds will start blowing. Similarly, on June 9, the mercury will rise by 1 degree to 44 and hot winds will start blowing.

Storm and rain predicted in some areas of Rajasthan

Amidst the scorching heat in Rajasthan, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, storms and light rain in some parts from tomorrow. According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, due to the activation of a new western disturbance, there is a possibility of strong thunderstorms, lightning and light to moderate rain in some parts of Bikaner, Jodhpur divisions during June 7-9. During this, there is a possibility of strong thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds at a speed of 50-60 kmph and moderate to heavy rain at some places on June 7-8 in the afternoon. At the same time, hailstorms are also likely at some places in western Rajasthan on June 7. Similarly, there will be thunderstorms, storms and light rain in some parts of Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota and Bharatpur divisions of the state from tomorrow. However, there is not going to be any significant change in the maximum temperature for the next four-five days and it is expected to remain below 45 degrees Celsius.

Monsoon reaches Maharashtra, expected to reach Mumbai by June 10

The southwest monsoon reached Maharashtra on Thursday, bringing some relief to the state. The areas facing severe heat and acute water crisis got special relief with the arrival of monsoon. Meteorological Department scientist Sunil Kamble said that the monsoon has reached Sindhudurg district of South Konkan and Sangli and Kolhapur in Western Maharashtra. He said that the monsoon can reach Mumbai between 9 and 10 June. People in many areas of Maharashtra are facing severe water crisis. Along with this, the situation has also become worse due to heat.
