Cars placed more than 303 bets on various cricket matches between 2017 and 2019. He has accepted the charges. After which he was banned for 16 months, including a 13-month suspension. Brydon Cars plays domestic cricket for Durham. 28-year-old Cars did not bet on the matches in which he was playing.

Bowling all-rounder Brydon Carse was included in England's squad for the ODI World Cup held in India last year. He was included in England's ODI World Cup squad as a replacement for an injured player. He was found guilty of violations after an anti-corruption investigation by the England cricket regulator. South Africa-born Carse made his international debut in July 2021. He has played 14 ODIs and three T20Is for England so far. He will not be able to participate in any cricket till August 28.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement that Carse cooperated with the investigation and regretted his actions. An ECB spokesperson said, 'We take these matters extremely seriously and do not tolerate any anti-corruption violations in cricket.'
