New Delhi. There is big news for the customers of State Bank of India (SBI). The bank has changed the annual maintenance charges related to some of its debit cards. These changes will become effective from the first of next month i.e. 1st April. The maintenance charge of these cards has been increased by Rs 75. This change has not been made for all cards. Let us tell you that SBI has more than 45 crore customers.

SBI has also prepared its outline regarding other fees related to debit card. The bank also has to pay for facilities like debit card replacement, duplicate PIN and international transactions. We will tell you about this. At present, let us know the old and new rates of maintenance charge.

How much change in maintenance fees
Note that GST will be levied separately on the maintenance charge of each card. If the maintenance charge of a card is Rs 125, then GST will be added to it. Earlier it used to cost Rs 125 for Classic-Silver-Global-Contaclass Debit Card, now it will cost Rs 200. For Yuva-Gold-Combo Debit Card-My Card, you will have to pay Rs 250, not Rs 175. For Platinum Debit Card, you will have to pay Rs 325, not Rs 250. For Pride-Platinum Business Debit Card, you will have to pay Rs 425 instead of Rs 350. Another important information is that from April 1, 2024, the reward points available on fare payment for some credit cards will stop.

To replace the debit card, Rs 300 plus GST has to be paid. To generate duplicate PIN or PIN, one has to pay Rs 50 plus GST. Fees are also charged for services like international transactions. It costs Rs 25 to check balance in international transactions. Minimum Rs 100 and Rs 3.5 GST is charged on ATM cash withdrawal. Using Point of Sale (PoS) or e-commerce service will attract 3% transaction amount along with GST. GST at the rate of 18 percent will be levied on all these transactions.
