Manoj Bajpayee's 'Bhaiya Ji', released on Friday, has disappointed on the first day. Manoj is in an action avatar in his 100th film and the makers of the film had released 'Bhaiya Ji' with great fanfare. But the sad thing is that on the opening day it could only roar at the box office, it could not rain. This film, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, was expected to collect at least Rs 2-4 crore on Friday. But the sad thing is that the film could not earn even Rs 1.5 crore. On the other hand, Rajkumar Rao's 'Shrikant' is smiling even on its 15th day. The release of 'Bhaiya Ji' has not affected it. According to the report of sacnilk, the crime-thriller 'Bhaiya Ji' has made a net collection of only Rs 1.30 crore on the first day. Not only this, the number of viewers who came to watch the film has also been very less. Despite the opening day, about 90 out of 100 chairs were seen empty in the theaters. In the morning show, 95 out of 100 seats were empty of spectators. After the kind of response the film's teaser and trailer received, it was thought that this film would fill the gap of masala films in theatres for a long time. But sadly, this does not seem to be happening.

'Bhaiya Ji' lags behind in earning from multiplexes, less focus on single screens too

One of the biggest problems with 'Bhaiya Ji' is that the makers have made it keeping in mind the audience of single screen theatres and small towns. This is not a film for the multiplex audience of big cities and this has proved to be a loss for the film. It earns a lot from multiplexes, but the film is not able to attract the audience there. While single screen theatres also attract a huge crowd of audience, Manoj Bapuji's stardom has faded a bit. He is definitely a strong actor, but his stardom is not such that he can bring an army of fans to the ticket window.

'Srikanth' earned so many crores even on the 15th day

On the other hand, the success of Rajkumar Rao's 'Srikant' continues on the 15th day as well. On Friday, once again, the film has earned more than Rs 1.50 crore. On the 15th day, this film has done a business of Rs 1.20 crore. A day before, on Thursday, it had collected Rs 1.45 crore. In such a situation, due to the release of 'Bhaiya Ji' and Hollywood film 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga', it has definitely suffered a loss of Rs 25 lakh. But there are chances of increase in earnings in the coming weekend. Blind businessman Shrikant told that this biopic has collected a total of Rs 32.70 crore in 15 days.

Earnings will decrease due to Lok Sabha elections on Saturday

One thing to understand here is that the sixth phase of elections is being held in the country on Saturday i.e. 25th May. In such a situation, many areas of Delhi, UP and Bihar will be affected by this. Due to the scorching heat, the audience is also staying away from the cinema halls. Therefore, 'Bhaiya Ji' may have to suffer losses on the second day i.e. Saturday. There are chances of increase in earnings on Sunday, but looking at the way the film is not getting much appreciation, there are no signs of much increase in it.
