Addressing a gathering of RSS trainees in Nagpur on Monday, Mohan Bhagwat said that there was peace in Manipur 10 years ago. There is a need to rise above election rhetoric and focus on the problems facing the country. He stressed the need to come out of election rhetoric and focus on the problems facing the country. All opposition parties including Congress continued to target the Modi government in the Manipur violence case even during the elections.
