Bollywood's powerful actor Anil Kapoor married Sunita 40 years ago. Now he has revealed that Sunita had decided to become a housewife and stay at home and raise the children. It was his personal decision, not because of her. He also tells that Sunita had set a condition that after marriage, she would come to her in-laws' house only as a couple. She will not bring money, gifts or jewelery with her.
Anil Kapoor told during the FICCI Flow Jaipur Chapter event that in the initial years of their marriage, Sunita used to decorate the entire house with flowers. He also asked his wife the reason for this.

Sunita used to decorate the house for herself
He said, 'Ever since I got married to Sunita, whenever I return from outdoor shooting, the entire house is decorated. She always told me, I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing this for myself. I don't take care of you, I take care of myself. Don't assume that I'm taking care of the house for you, I'm doing it for myself.
Sunita had gone to her in-laws' house with only one pair of clothes.
Anil told that when they met, Sunita was working and she had clearly said that she would not take money or expensive gifts from her parents in the marriage. She remembered that she had told me before marriage, 'When I come to your house after marriage, I will bring only one pair of clothes and will not bring any jewelery with me. Whatever it is, you have to buy it for me.'
40 years of marriage completed
Anil and Sunita celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in May this year. Anil had also praised his wife by sharing a photo with Sunita and also remembered the journey of so many years.
