Director filed a complaint against Vasu Bhagnani
Pooja Entertainment owner Vasu Bhagnani also owes 'Mission Raniganj' director Tinu Suresh Desai Rs 33.13 lakh. In 2023, Tinu Desai filed a complaint with the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA) for non-payment of his dues. In his complaint dated March 19, 2023, the 'Mission Raniganj' director claimed that he worked for the Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer from February 2022 to October 2023.
The director has just received this many crores of rupees
Referring to his contract with Pooja Entertainment, Tinu Suresh Desai also said that out of Rs 4,03,50,000 (Rs 4.03 crore), he has received Rs 3,70,36,092 (Rs 3.70 crore) so far. Talking about the Mission Raniganj director's complaint last year, Tiwari said that he has been contacting Pooja Entertainment, but the production house has not made the payment yet.
Asked for time to pay the money till July
FWICE president BN Tiwari further said that in an email sent to IFTDA in February 2024, Vashu Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment had sought time to pay the dues citing the wedding of his son Jackie Bhagnani. However, when FWICE wrote a letter to Bhagnani's company in March, the company requested that it pay the dues after the release of 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'. Tiwari also stressed that Vashu Bhagnani's company has said that the dues will be paid by the end of July. However, if the company fails to do so, the employees will not work on 'any of his films'.
