New Delhi. Royal Challengers Bangalore made their 250th IPL match memorable. RCB registered its second win in IPL 2024 by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 35 runs. After half-centuries by Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar, RCB defeated Hyderabad in their own home due to the sharp bowling of the bowlers. This is RCB's second win in 9 matches while this is Hyderabad's third defeat in 8 matches. With the defeat, Hyderabad's victory chariot coming from 4 consecutive matches also came to a halt. RCB also leveled the accounts of the previous defeat. Both the teams had clashed in Bengaluru this season where Hyderabad defeated RCB by 25 runs in a high-scoring match. RCB got its second win after a month. He got his first win this season on 25 March.

Chasing the target of 207 runs, Sunrisers Hyderabad could score only 171 runs for 8 wickets. His start was very bad. Patidar and Kohli scored half centuries
Earlier, due to Rajat Patidar's explosive innings and Virat Kohli's restrained half-century, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 206 runs for 7 wickets. Patidar (50 runs on 20 balls) scored the most runs in a partnership of 65 runs with Kohli (51 runs on 43 balls). Kohli's focus was on giving strike to his teammate. Cameron Green (37 not out off 20 balls) and Swapnil Singh (12 runs off 6 balls) scored quick runs in the last overs to take RCB past 200 runs.

Kohli and Duplessis added runs quickly
Kohli and Faf Du Plessis (25 runs from 12 balls) batted aggressively against the bowlers of Hyderabad team and added runs quickly. Due to this, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins gave away 19 runs in his very first over. RCB had scored 43 runs without any loss in the first 18 balls but could still score only 61 runs after losing one wicket in the powerplay. Du Plessis was deceived by T Natarajan's slow short ball and reached the pavilion by being caught by Aiden Markram at mid-off.
