New Delhi. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah officially announced the name of the new head coach of the Indian team on Tuesday evening i.e. 9th July. Former Indian cricket team opener Gautam Gambhir has been made the new head coach of Team India. A report said that Gautam Gambhir wanted to make Jonty Rhodes the fielding coach of Team India. But the BCCI has rejected his request.
Hindustan Times report said that Gambhir wants to make Jonty Rhodes the fielding coach of Team India but BCCI did not agree to this. This is because BCCI wants the entire staff of the team to be Indian. No foreign player should be included in this. Let us tell you that Jonty Rhodes is considered the best fielder in the world. He has worked for Lucknow Supergiants in the 2022 and 2023 IPL. Gautam Gambhir was also with him there.

A report also said that T Dilip will retain his role as fielding coach. His work in the last season has been amazing.
