Bangladesh's participation in the Tarang Shakti exercise was doubtful after the political turmoil in Bangladesh. But now Bangladesh has informed that its team will participate in this exercise. In the first phase of Tarang Shakti, the air forces of France, Germany, Spain and the UK participated with their aircraft. In the second phase, Australia, Greece, Singapore, UAE, Bangladesh and the US will participate.
What is the purpose of this exercise?
The second phase of the exercise will also include 27 fighter aircraft, 2 tankers, 2 Airborne Early Warning and Control Systems, 3 Special Forces aircraft from other countries. Including India's fighter aircraft, there will be a total of 40 fighter aircraft, helicopters including Prachand, Rudra, Apache. In total, 75 aircraft will be involved in the second phase. The purpose of this exercise is to show the world how the defense ecosystem in India is constantly growing, as well as to show India's commitment to self-reliance. The military objective of this exercise is to strengthen relations with friendly countries and learn better tactics and strategies from each other.
