New Delhi: Former Indian cricket team all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has approached the Delhi High Court against a builder. Yuvraj Singh has dragged the builder to court as he has accused the builder of tampering with his flat. The Delhi High Court on Tuesday issued a notice to the real estate company on Yuvraj Singh's petition.

Seeking relief from the Delhi High Court, Yuvraj Singh in his petition has sought the appointment of an arbitrator to decide the dispute. Justice C Hari Shankar heard Yuvraj Singh's petition on Tuesday and sought a response from real estate firm Brilliant Etoile Pvt Ltd.

What is the matter?
Yuvraj Singh has accused the company of violation of personality rights and delay in delivery of the flat booked by him. Yuvraj Singh had booked a flat in Hauz Khas, Delhi with the company in 2021. At that time the price of that flat was said to be around ₹ 14.10 crores. The former cricketer, who was part of the world champion team, got this flat in November 2023, but when he saw the flat, he found that its quality had been compromised.

What allegations did Yuvraj make?
Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh said that the builder compromised on quality and reduced the quality of fittings, furnishings, lights and finishing of the flat. Due to this, the former Indian batsman demanded compensation for the delay in giving the flat and the use of substandard material in it.
