Bridgetown. In its last match of the Super 8 of the ICC T20 World Cup, the England team played a brilliant innings and won over the USA and confirmed its ticket to the semi-finals. After taking the team to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup by playing a stormy innings, England captain Jos Buttler revealed the secret behind this innings. He showed speed while chasing the target of 116 runs, which helped the team to reach the top of Group 2 of the Super Eight.

After Chris Jordan's hat-trick, Butler's explosive innings helped England beat America by 10 wickets and enter the semi-finals. Butler said after the match, “We respect America and we talked about the fact that if we bat fast, we will perform very well. After playing a few overs, we tried to hit fast shots in the air.”

Butler praised the bowling efforts of leg-spinner Adil Rashid (2 wickets for 13 runs) and Liam Livingstone (1 wicket for 24 runs). He said, “Adil bowled brilliantly. Livingstone also bowled well along with him. When you are not bowling in the match and then suddenly you have to bowl four overs, it is difficult, so credit goes to them for being ready.”

The England captain also praised the bowling of comeback man Jordan. The bowler took four wickets in five balls including a hat-trick in the 19th over and dismissed the tail-end batsmen of America. Due to this brilliant bowling, England bowled out America for 115 runs in 18.5 overs. He said, “We had great options. We included Jordan to add depth to our batting and his hat-trick in the World Cup is a great effort.”
