The Kangaroo team registered a spectacular victory in the first match of the 3 match series against Scotland. Chasing the target of 155 runs, Australia's team finished the match before 10 overs. During this match, Australia created a new record by scoring 113 runs in the power play. Travis Head made the match one-sided by scoring 80 runs in 25 balls.
The T20 match between Scotland and Australia has been recorded in the record books. In the first match of the three-match T20 series, the Kangaroo team's batsmen rocked the field. After losing the toss and coming in to bat, host Scotland scored 154 runs for 9 wickets. Opener George Munsey scored the highest 28 runs while Matthew Cross scored 27 runs. Sean Abbott took 3 wickets for Australia. Xavier Bartlett and Ajam Zampa took 2-2 wickets each.
