He said that through the 'Purvodaya' scheme, the development of the eastern region of the country will get new momentum and energy. He said that the development of important infrastructure like highways, water projects and power projects will get new momentum.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also described the Purvodaya scheme as very important for the creation of a developed India. He said that the 'Purvodaya' scheme has been announced in the budget to give new impetus to the development of the eastern region of the country. Amit Shah said, 'This scheme will provide new energy to infrastructure, human resources, employment and economic development opportunities in these areas and these areas will play an important role in the creation of a developed and self-reliant India.'

Bihar got a gift under the scheme

According to IANS, Bihar did not get the status of a special state but it has been given many gifts under this scheme. Along with this, an industrial center will be built in Gaya under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor. Cultural centers will be developed as modern economic centers. This model will be named Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi.

Apart from this, road connectivity will also be increased. Under this, Patna-Purnia Expressway, Buxar Bhagalpur Expressway, Bodh Gaya-Rajgir Vaishali Darbhanga Expressway will be constructed. Apart from this, a two-lane bridge will also be built on the Ganga River in Buxar. Rs 26000 crore will be spent for this.

Apart from this, the central government has decided to build Vishnupad Temple and Mahabodhi Temple Corridor in Gaya, Bihar on the lines of Kashi.

Along with this, Bihar has been given another gift. A 2400 MW power plant will be built in Pirpainti at a cost of Rs 21400 crore. A new airport and medical college will also be built in Bihar. Bihar will also be given help for capital investment.

Special announcement for Andhra Pradesh too

Along with this, the government has also announced several gifts for the development of Andhra Pradesh in this budget. Recognizing the need for a capital in the state, the Center will support the state through various agencies. For this, an arrangement of Rs 15000 crore has been made in this financial year. Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government is also going to complete the Polavaram irrigation project.

Along with this, under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, funds will be provided for development in Kopparthi area in Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor and Orvakal area in Hyderabad-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor. Funds will be provided for Rayalaseema, Prakasam, North Coastal Andhra.
