Captain Vikram Batra was born on 9 September 1974 in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. He also has a twin brother. Most of Vikram Batra's memories are associated with Palampur. Even though he is not in this world today, people come from far and wide to see his house in Palampur. Due to army security, taking videos and photos is prohibited there, but you can see Captain Vikram Batra's house from a distance. The name of his house is “Vikram Batra Bhawan”. - Vikram Batra conquered the Point 4875 peak in the Kargil war, due to which the Indian government named this mountain peak 'Batra Top' in his honor.
- A residential area in Jabalpur Cantonment is called 'Captain Vikram Batra Enclave'.
- A hall in the Service Selection Centre Allahabad is named 'Vikram Batra Block'.
- The Combined Cadet Mess at IMA is named 'Vikram Batra Mess'.
- There is a memorial of Captain Vikram Batra in DAV College, Chandigarh.

About Batra Top
'Batra Top' is the place where we lost Captain Vikram Batra during the war. Actually, it is Point 4875, but now it is known as 'Batra Top'. Captain Vikram Batra's twin brother Vishal visited here in 2019, which is located at an altitude of 17 thousand feet. To pay tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army and to remind them of the victory over the Pakistani Army, the Government of India has built the Kargil War Memorial in Drass on the Leh Highway.
