Web Series Review: Mirzapur 3's thrill is slow and dull, but the climax is very powerful

The much-awaited and popular web series 'Mirzapur' which the audience was eagerly waiting for is now in front of them. Director Gurmeet Singh has beautifully taken the story and characters forward with the brilliant cast of the last two seasons, but the shock value or bhaukaal that the audience was expecting does not emerge strongly in the series. The acting of the actors is a plus point of the series, but if its pace was as fast as the first season, it would have been like icing on the cake.

The story picks up from the end of the last season. As viewers know, this is a story of power, deceit, fraud and the power of musclemen. Similarly, some strongmen from the west refuse to accept Guddu as their king. Lady don Golu (Shweta Tripathi), who has become more dangerous than before, becomes Guddu's right hand and protects him from every trick of the enemies at every step. To get Guddu out of the way, Sharad hatches a conspiracy with the state's Chief Minister and Munna's wife Madhuri Yadav (Isha Talwar). With the campaign for a fear-free state, Madhuri plans her revenge by pitting the powerful against the powerful.

Meanwhile, in Siwan, Bharat Tyagi (Vijay Verma) has secretly stolen the identity of his twin brother Chhote aka Shatrughan Tyagi (Vijay Verma). While everyone believes that Chhote is dead. Dadda (Lilliput) has accepted the death of his son Chhote. But the biggest question is whether Kaleen Bhaiya, who has returned from the jaws of death, will be able to establish his power once again? Will Guddu be able to eliminate his enemies and become the king of Mirzapur? To see the answers to many such questions, you will have to watch the series.

Review of 'Mirzapur 3':

The biggest feature of Mirzapur Season 3 is the rise of underdog Guddu and Sharad, which brings newness to the series, but its pace is slower than the previous season. In a series like Mirzapur, the audience expects a fast pace. Although writers Apoorva Dhar, Avinash Singh, Avinash Tomar and Vijay Narayan have kept many twists and turns in the story, but in between they lose their grip. The ten episodes of the series seem long. Despite this, the hidden agenda of every character maintains curiosity. Kaleen Bhaiya has been given very little screen space, which will definitely be missed by his fans, while Munna is also missed. Yes, hair-raising action scenes, court room drama, Guddu's dominance in Nepal, attack in Siwan, sequences like confrontation between Guddu and Sharad have become interesting. The ten minutes of the climax are enough to surprise the audience. Sanjay Kapoor and Kunal Qureshi's cinematography shines in the action scenes. Anand Bhaskar's music is average, but John Stewart Eduri's background score keeps the film interesting.

How is the acting of the actors in 'Mirzapur 3'?

In terms of acting, the series has many gems. This time Guddu Pandit's charisma is fully visible. He has executed his arrogant, unpredictable and dangerous style in a special way. He makes this raw character memorable on screen, while Anjum Sharma has given a restrained performance as Sharad Shukla. Shweta Tripathi dominates as Golu, the lady don who plays mind games. Even in limited screen space, Pankaj Tripathi leaves a deep impression in the character of Kaleen Bhaiya. Rasika has played the character of Beena with equal intensity. Isha Talwar has played the character of CM Madhuri smartly. Vijay Verma has been wasted. Sheeba Chaddha in the role of Guddu's mother, Rajesh Tailang in the role of father, Priyanshu Painuli in the role of Robin, Anil George in the role of Rauf Lala, Lilliput in the role of Dadda have done justice to their characters.

Why watch: With new twists and turns, it is worth watching for the performances of Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi and Anjum Sharma and the shocking climax.
