UP Teacher's Award 2024: State award to 41 teachers of UP, a gift from Yogi government on the occasion of Teachers' Day

How was the selection made?

To encourage teachers, CM Yogi Adityanath had increased the scope of the State Teacher Award for basic teachers and directed participation of every district. On this basis, rules were made and the process of taking district-wise applications from teachers was started. 276 teachers had applied on the Prerna app. The selection committee of the concerned districts verified and evaluated the applications and sent the names to the State Selection Committee.

One name each was sent from 9 districts- Auraiya, Kanpur, Kannauj, Hapur, Meerut, Mirzapur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Sonbhadra and Pilibhit. Whereas two names each were sent from 62 districts. The District Selection Committee did not send a single application form from 4 districts- Baghpat, Hathras, Mainpuri and Rampur.

132 gave interview, 41 selected

132 teachers gave their presentation and interview before the state level selection committee from 16th to 21st August. On this basis, 41 teachers have been selected for the award. Names received from Ambedkarnagar, Amethi, Auraiya, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Balrampur, Banda, Badaun, Chitrakoot, Etah, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Ghaziabad, Hamirpur, Hapur, Jalaun, Jaunpur, Kannauj, Kasganj, Mahoba, Mathura, Mau, Muzaffarnagar, Pilibhit, Rae Bareli, Sambhal, Shravasti, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Unnao were not found suitable for the award.
