NTA announces new dates for UGC NET 2024: NTA i.e. National Testing Agency has announced the new date of UGC-NET (National Eligibility Test) 2024 late on Friday night. The UGC NET exam will be conducted from August 21 to September 4. The postponed joint CSIR-UGC NET exam will be conducted in computer based test mode between July 25 and 27. This paper is going to be a computer based test while the paper canceled on June 18 was in offline mode. The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) for admission to the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) was postponed, this exam will now be conducted in CBT mode on July 10.

The investigation was launched after reports of question paper leak in the UGC-NET exam held on June 18 earlier this month, following which the Education Ministry cancelled the exam the next day.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan confirmed during a press conference that the decision was taken soon after it was confirmed that the leaked question paper matched the original one, expressing concerns over the sanctity of the exam.

Pradhan said, “The UGC-NET question paper found on the darknet was identical to the original question paper.” He highlighted the confidential nature of the dark web where anonymity and anonymous transactions take place.
