According to the Meteorological Department, after Wednesday a new western disturbance will move towards northwest India, which will also provide relief to Delhi.

Severe heat continues to wreak havoc in Rajasthan

Severe heat wave continues in most parts of Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heat wave in many areas for the next few days. According to the Meteorological Center located in Jaipur, light rain was recorded in eastern Rajasthan in the last 24 hours while the weather remained dry in western Rajasthan. During this time, heat wave blew in some parts of Bikaner and Jaipur divisions. During this time, the highest maximum temperature of 46.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Ganganagar and the highest rainfall of six millimeters was recorded in Baseri, Dholpur. According to the department, in the next 48 hours, maximum temperature of 44-47 degrees is likely to be recorded in Bikaner, Bharatpur, Jaipur divisions of the state and heat wave is likely to occur in some parts. Strong winds are likely to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in some parts of the state.

Severe heat in North-West India from Ladakh to Jharkhand

From Ladakh to Jharkhand, a large part of northwest India is reeling under intense heat, with Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh recording a maximum temperature of 47.6 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures were well above normal at most places in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar. Dehradun in Uttarakhand recorded a maximum temperature of 43.1 degrees Celsius, 9.5 degrees above normal for this season, while Una in Himachal Pradesh recorded a maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius, 6.7 degrees above average. Katra in Jammu and Kashmir recorded a maximum temperature of 40.8 degrees Celsius, 5.7 degrees above normal, while the mercury in Jammu soared to 44.3 degrees Celsius. Daltonganj in Jharkhand recorded a maximum temperature of 46 degrees Celsius, 9.1 degrees above normal.
