According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the city has recorded the highest rainfall in June in the last 88 years after 1936 and this is the second highest rainfall in the period from 1901 to 2024. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain in Delhi for the next two days. According to the forecast, there will be dense clouds on Saturday. Moderate to heavy rain is expected. Thunderstorms may also occur along with rain.

Monsoon advances in Rajasthan, rain warning at many places

Abhishek Anand, in-charge of Ranchi Meteorological Center, said that we are expecting widespread rainfall in entire Jharkhand on Saturday and Sunday. This may reduce the gap of rain deficiency in the month of June to some extent.

Orange alert for seven districts of Himachal Pradesh
Shimla and adjoining areas of Himachal Pradesh received heavy rains on Friday and the weather department issued an 'orange' warning indicating 'heavy rainfall' at isolated places, thundershowers and lightning in seven out of 12 districts of the state over the weekend. The weather department also issued a 'yellow' warning for heavy rainfall, thundershowers and lightning at isolated places on July 1 and 2 and predicted that rains will continue in the state till July 4. The southwest monsoon reached many parts of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. However, the arrival of monsoon has been delayed by five days. The department issued an 'orange' warning for Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur and Solan districts for Saturday and Sunday.
