Monsoon again gained momentum in Uttar Pradesh

Rain alert in Himachal Pradesh till July 17

The Meteorological Department had already issued a landslide warning in hilly areas. The IMD has issued a 'yellow alert' predicting heavy rains in Shimla today and tomorrow. The Meteorological Department has again issued an alert of heavy rain in many states of the country. IMD's senior scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and coastal Karnataka during July 12-15. Along with this, a red alert for rain has been issued in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh. At the same time, heavy rain has been predicted at different places in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim, Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh.
