TMKOC: 'If justice is not given..' Jennifer Mistry threatened to sit on dharna against Asit Modi, why did she take this decision?

After winning the sexual harassment case against Asit Kumar Modi, Jennifer released a video statement and shared that she had insisted on changing the FIR filed against Asit Modi last year. Jennifer claimed that TMKOC makers are now alleging that they have not won any case against Modi.

Jennifer said- 'They are saying that I had gone to the women's group for some reason and was told like this there. So what I have to say is that your producer, such an important, such a big producer, went to the Women's Group twice for the hearing and that too leaving all the work behind?

The actress further said that she has given an 'ultimatum' to the police officials to file a charge sheet against Modi and said that she may go on strike if action is not taken against the producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Jennifer said- 'I have given him an ultimatum that if he does not do the charge sheet work quickly, then I don't even know what I will do. It is possible that when Draupadi Murmu ji is coming here, I may sit on strike.

Jennifer Mistry used to play the character of Mrs. Roshan Sodhi in TMKOC. However, she left the show in 2023 alleging that she was mistreated at the workplace. She also alleged sexual harassment against the show's producer Asit Modi. Along with this, Jennifer filed a complaint against Asit Kumar Modi, the show's project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj. All three were booked under sections 354 and 509 (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
