School News in Hindi : Now girls will not have to face the problems during periods in board exams. The government has issued guidelines to all the boards in this regard. It has been said that girl students should be allowed to take necessary breaks during the 10th and 12th board exams. Also, free sanitary pads should be made available at all examination centers.

Circular issued for CBSE, KVS, NVS

The ministry has issued a circular to all schools in states and union territories, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). The ministry said, 'Free sanitary pads will be provided at all centers for class 10th and 12th board examinations, so that girls can get the necessary hygiene products during the examination if needed.'

It said, 'Students should be allowed to take necessary breaks to meet their menstrual needs, minimise discomfort and concentrate during examinations.'

Apart from this, the department has asked to promote related programs in all the concerned schools to increase awareness about health and hygiene related to periods among girl students, teachers and staff. Its purpose is to reduce the discomfort about periods among people and focus on improving the school environment.
