Formation of Telangana
It is worth noting that the state of Telangana was formed on 2 June 2014 after the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill was passed in Parliament in February 2014. After which Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had ordered the officials last month to take possession of buildings like Government Guest House Lake View in Hyderabad on time after June 2. Which were given to Andhra Pradesh in the year 2014 for a period of 10 years.
Andhra Pradesh
Now let's talk about Andhra Pradesh. From 2014 to June 12, 2024, Andhra did not have a permanent capital. There was a battle going on in the courts to make Amaravati and Visakhapatnam the capital of Andhra Pradesh. But with the formation of a new government in Andhra Pradesh on June 12, Amaravati was made the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. However, the biggest problem of the division is that even after ten years of division, many issues like division of assets between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are unresolved.
Capital of Andhra Pradesh?
Before Amaravati became the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, there is a dispute over Visakhapatnam and Amaravati. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that if he remains in power, Visakhapatnam will be the administrative capital. While Amaravati will be the seat of the Legislative Assembly. Apart from this, Kurnool will be the judicial capital. Andhra Pradesh stopped using Hyderabad as the capital soon after the division in 2014 and kept only a few buildings in the city.
Andhra Pradesh gets a new capital
With the formation of Chandrababu Naidu's TDP government, Andhra Pradesh has also got a new capital. The name of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh is Amaravati. After the swearing-in ceremony of the joint government of TDP and BJP, it was officially announced on the evening of June 12 that the capital of Andhra Pradesh will be Amaravati. All administrative and political work will be done from here.
