New Delhi. The Indian cricket team registered a one-sided victory in the recently concluded Test series against Bangladesh. Team India defeated the visiting team first in Chennai and then in Kanpur and won the series 2-0. In both these matches, the selectors had included the name of batsman Sarfaraz Khan. He did not get a chance to play the first match and was dropped from the second match. He was dropped from the team midway through the series to play in the Irani Trophy and scored an explosive century in the first innings.
Sarfaraz Khan, who made his debut for India in the Test series against England, was included in the team against Bangladesh but was not kept in the playing eleven. KL Rahul was included in his place in the first Test played in Chennai. After his name appeared in the team selected for the second match of Duleep Trophy, it became clear that Sarfaraz would not play the first Test. The selectors also included Sarfaraz in the Mumbai team selected for the Irani Trophy before the second Test match. It also became clear that he would not be in the playing eleven of the Kanpur Test.
