NBT News, New Delhi : The 13-year-old minor who sent an email threatening to bomb a flight from Delhi to Dubai has been caught by the IGI Airport Police from Uttarakhand. Later, he was produced in the Juvenile Court and handed over to his parents. Investigation has revealed that another minor had also sent a fake email for fun after being misled by the accused. The mobile phone from which he had sent the email has also been seized from him.

Threatening email sent on June 18

DCP Usha Rangnani said that on June 18, an email threatening to blow up a flight from Delhi to Dubai was received. This email was received by DIAL. Then the police got the information. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, all the passengers were evacuated safely. A case was registered and investigation was started. A team was formed under the supervision of ACP VKPS Yadav. Then when the email was investigated, it was found that the email was deleted immediately after sending it.

After technical investigation, a 13-year-old minor was caught from Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. During interrogation, it was found that he studies in class 9.
