Haryana summer vacation date revised: Amid the red alert issued in the state regarding heatwave, the Haryana government has announced summer holidays in all government and private schools from tomorrow i.e. May 28. According to media reports, schools will reopen on July 1. Earlier, summer holidays in the state were scheduled from June 1 to June 30. But now schools have been closed from May 28.

The state government has taken this decision after the Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for heat wave in many parts of the country. The weather office said in the bulletin that severe heat wave is likely in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh, Western Rajasthan, Eastern Rajasthan till May 28.
According to the IMD, on May 29, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are likely in many parts of West Rajasthan, some parts of Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi and heat wave conditions are likely in isolated parts of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.
Orange alert issued in these states for May 30
On May 30, an orange alert has been issued for heat wave in parts of western Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan and different areas of Vidarbha.
