Recently, in an interview given to Bollywood Life, 'Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan' director Ali Abbas Zafar talked about casting Prithviraj Sukumaran in this film. He told that this South superstar was always the first choice for this role. However, at first Prithviraj Sukumaran had flatly refused for this role.
