Shaan's revelation, his song was removed from Rs 470 crore movie, this song of Arijit Singh was replaced

Recently, while talking to PTI, Shaan recalled a recent example and said that 'his song from the latest film Donkey was removed by the makers. Shaan said, 'I was thrilled that I got to sing Shahrukh Khan's song, but for some reason it was replaced with another song. Donkey's 'O Mahi' became a popular song for music lovers across the country from the soundtrack where my song was to be included. It is known that Shaan had sung the song Durr kahi Durr for Dinky but it was removed. Let us tell you that O Mahi was sung by Arijit Singh who has replaced Shaan's song. Donkey stars Shah Rukh Khan along with colorful characters played by talented actors Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover. The film had a box office collection of Rs 470 crore.

Released on December 21, Dinky depicts the emotional journey of a group of friends who want to go abroad. The story of the film depicts the exciting journey of people who choose an unconventional route known as the Dunky to reach London, depicting the difficulties they face along the way. Apart from Shahrukh, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal are also in lead roles. The film earned more than Rs 300 crore at the Indian box office. Even though the film received a positive response from everyone, Rajkumar Hirani in an exclusive interview with PressNews24 Shosha revealed that Shahrukh was sure that even though the comedy-drama would win hearts, the figures of action actors like Ye Jawan and Pathan Couldn't achieve.

Box Office Worldwide reported that Dunky was likely to be submitted for an Academy Award nomination. Although there has been no official confirmation about this yet, but if this turns out to be true then it will be Shahrukh Khan's third film to be sent for Oscar nomination. Earlier, his 2004 film Swades and 2005 film Paheli were also submitted for prestigious award nominations.
