Increase in ST budget

After this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman refuted the allegations of giving less budget to SC-ST in the budget and said that Rs 119706 crore was allocated for ST in the budget of 2023-24, while Rs 124909 crore has been allocated in the budget of 2024-24. According to the data, there has been an increase of five crores in the budget. Similarly, Rs 238220 crore was allocated for women in the budget of 2023-24 and Rs 327158 crore has been allocated in the budget of 2024-25. That is, the budget has been increased by Rs 88938 crore.

Along with this, the Finance Minister talked about the withdrawal of money from SC-ST sub-fund in Karnataka and told MP Charanjit Singh Channi that you should ask your leader about the condition of SC in Karnataka, there is no need to ask here.
