Alka said, “We have three main demands. The 33 percent women reservation bill should be implemented under political justice. Participation of our sisters from scheduled castes-tribes and extremely backward and other backward classes should be ensured in this reservation and the law should be implemented. In the states where assembly elections are going to be held, this should also be discussed and implemented.”
Alka said, “Atrocities against women are constantly increasing under the BJP government. Criminals are losing their fear of the law. There are many such examples which are shameful.”
She said, 'In Madhya Pradesh's Rewa, two women were buried alive by goons, in Navi Mumbai, a 30-year-old woman was gang-raped and killed, in Maharashtra's Thane, a nine-year-old girl was raped and killed and in Rajasthan, 20,000 incidents of crime against women have been reported in six months.' Alka said that this movement will reach every home and will continue until all three demands are met.
