Rishabh Pant missed his half century by 15 runs
Earlier, Old Delhi 6 team captained by Rishabh Pant batted first. Pant's team scored 197 runs for 3 wickets. Opener Arpit Rana played an innings of 59 runs in 41 balls which included 8 fours and 2 sixes. Captain and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was seen struggling in the beginning. He played an innings of 35 runs in 32 balls, while Vansh Bedi played a quick innings of 47 runs in 19 balls. Vansh hit 4 fours and 4 sixes. Lalit Yadav returned unbeaten after scoring 34 runs. Divij Mehra, Ayush Badoni and Kunwar Bidhuri took one wicket each from South Delhi Super Stars.

Singers Badshah and Sid K rocked the stage with their performance at the opening ceremony of the Delhi Premier League. Sonam Bajwa mesmerized everyone with her dance. DDCA honored Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan and Ishant Sharma. All three players play domestic cricket for Delhi. Dhawan and Ishant are currently out of Team India while Pant has recently returned to the team after injury. Pant was part of the T20 World Cup winning team.
