Renuka Swamy murder case: Darshan gave Rs 5 lakh each to 3 people and asked them to take the blame on themselves


A big update has come out regarding Kannada actor Darshan Thagudipa, arrested in the Renuka Swamy murder case. Police said that the actor had allegedly asked three people to take the blame for the crime in exchange for lakhs of rupees. It is known that Darshan was arrested on Tuesday. He had offered Rs 5 lakh to each person to implicate himself in the case. The body of 33-year-old Renuka Swamy was found in a drain near Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru. A food delivery agent saw dogs tearing the body, after which he called the police. Renuka had allegedly sent objectionable messages to Darshan's co-actress and girlfriend Pavitra Gowda. The police are investigating the matter to find out if this heinous murder was committed due to online harassment and use of offensive language.

Police said Darshan had appointed Raghavendra alias Raghu, convenor of his fan club in Chitradurga, to gather information about Renuka Swamy. The victim's wife also alleged that Raghu kidnapped her from near their house. Police said in its complaint that Renuka was brutally attacked, tied with ropes and beaten badly with wooden sticks in a shed before being killed. 13 people, including Darshan and Pavitra Gowda, have been arrested in the case.

the culprits will be punished

Bangalore Police Commissioner B Dayanand has said that they will investigate the case thoroughly as per the law and bring out the truth. He said, 'The culprits should be punished mercilessly as per the law.' State Home Minister G Parameshwara said that the police have been given complete freedom to take action against Darshan and other accused as per the law.

Demand for ban on Darshan's films

This incident has created a stir in the Kannada film industry and demands have started rising that Darshan's films should not be released. Darshan, known as 'Challenging Star', has worked in many films like 'Kariya' (2003), 'Namma Preethiya Ramu' (2003), 'Tarak' (2017), 'Yajaman' (2019) and 'Kurukshetra' (2019).
