New Delhi: After the results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, now the exercise to form the government is going on. In this sequence, the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting was held in Parliament House. Leaders of all the constituent parties of the NDA attended this meeting and Rajnath Singh supported the proposal to nominate PM Modi as the leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party. After this decision, the NDA staked claim to form the government. On behalf of the NDA, Narendra Modi met President Draupadi Murmu. The President invited Modi to form the government. Senior BJP leader Prahlad Joshi announced that 73-year-old Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third time. The ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, June 9 at 6 pm. The swearing-in ceremony will be attended by the heads of states of countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives and Mauritius. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, 'The 18th Lok Sabha is a Lok Sabha with new energy, youthful energy and the intention to achieve something. This is the first election after the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. He further said, 'I assure the countrymen that in the 18th Lok Sabha, during our five-year term, we will leave no stone unturned to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the country with the same speed and dedication. There was an NDA meeting this morning and all the NDA colleagues have once again chosen me for this responsibility and all the NDA colleagues informed the President about this. The President called me and gave me permission to work as the nominated Prime Minister and informed me for the swearing-in ceremony.'

I have told the President that we will reach on the evening of the 9th at a convenient time and by then we will submit the list of the Council of Ministers to the President and then the swearing-in ceremony will take place.
