Prime Minister Narendra Modi Celebrates 73rd Birthday with Yashobhoomi Inauguration
Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked his 73rd birthday with a grand gift to the people of Delhi. He inaugurated the first phase of the International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), known as YashoBhoomi, situated in Dwarka. Additionally, he unveiled a two-kilometer extension of the Airport Express line, which now connects Dwarka Sector 21 to YashoBhoomi Dwarka Sector 25.
Before the inauguration of the Delhi Airport Metro Express line extension, Prime Minister Modi took a ride on the Delhi Metro and interacted with the dedicated metro workers.
Exploring YashoBhoomi
Yashobhoomi stands as one of the world’s largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities, covering an impressive area of over 8.9 lakh square meters.
The Magnificent Auditorium
At the heart of the convention center lies the main auditorium, capable of accommodating approximately 6,000 guests. It boasts outstanding features, including wooden flooring and exquisite wall panels, ensuring a top-tier experience for attendees.
Versatile Convention Rooms
Yashobhoomi comprises 15 convention rooms, including the main auditorium, a grand ballroom, and 13 meeting rooms, allowing for a total capacity of up to 11,000 delegates. The auditorium is equipped with state-of-the-art automatic seating systems, enabling flexible floor configurations.
Grand Ballroom
The Grand Ballroom can seat around 2,500 guests, with an additional open area accommodating 500 more. Spanning eight floors, the facility also houses 13 meeting rooms, catering to gatherings of various sizes.
A Remarkable Exhibition Hall
Yashobhoomi boasts one of the world’s largest exhibition halls, designed for hosting exhibitions, trade fairs, and business events.
YashoBhoomi Metro Station
The newly inaugurated metro station in Dwarka Sector 25 seamlessly links Yashobhoomi to the Delhi Airport Metro Express Line. This enhancement includes an increase in metro train speed from 90 to 120 km/hr, reducing travel time. The entire journey from New Delhi to Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25 will now take approximately 21 minutes.
Prime Minister Modi’s gift of Yashobhoomi and the extended metro line is set to elevate Delhi’s status as a hub for world-class conventions and exhibitions while enhancing connectivity for its residents and visitors.
