Why is Prime Minister Modi's visit to Kashmir important?

The Prime Minister's visit to Kashmir on Yoga Day on 21 June is considered very important. Through this visit, Modi wants to send a message to the people of Jammu and Kashmir that the valley is safe under Modi's rule. By participating in the program, the PM will convey the message that the security system in Kashmir is tight. Along with this, a strong message will also be sent to the terrorists that India is ready to give a befitting reply to terrorist conspiracies. This visit of Modi is taking place at a time when many terrorist attacks have taken place in the areas of Jammu in the last few days. The point to be noted here is that terrorists are now seen active in the areas of Jammu. Union Minister Jitendra Singh says that the terrorists are frustrated because they are not able to do anything in Kashmir.

Modi government wants to promote tourism in Kashmir

There are many tourist places in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. But tourism in Jammu and Kashmir has been affected due to terrorist activities. Now the Modi government is again making a strategy to promote tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. Organizing a large-scale Yoga Day program near Dal Lake is also a part of this strategy. Last year International Yoga Day was celebrated in the Botanical Garden, in which LG Manoj Sinha and other top officials of Jammu and Kashmir participated. This time PM Modi himself will reach here.

Jammu and Kashmir BJP also started preparations

The BJP unit in Kashmir has also begun preparations to welcome the Prime Minister. BJP's Mohammad Arif said, “It is a special occasion and honour for us that we are hosting Prime Minister Modi in Kashmir, who has become Prime Minister for the third time.” Modi's last visit to Srinagar was in March this year, when he addressed an election rally at Bakshi Stadium, which was attended by hundreds of people, including government employees.
