After returning from his recent visit to Poland and Ukraine, PM Modi's conversation with the Russian President is considered very important. Emphasis on peaceful solution of Ukraine conflict

Prime Minister Modi wrote that he spoke to President Putin today. The Prime Minister said that he discussed measures to further strengthen the special and strategic partnership with the Russian President. He further said that they exchanged views on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the perspective gained from his recent visit to Ukraine. Prime Minister Modi wrote that he reiterated India's firm commitment to support an early, lasting and peaceful solution to the conflict. Earlier, the President of Ukraine had named India for peace talks with Russia.

Ukraine visit was described as historic
