After this, Nitin Gadkari and JP Nadda welcomed him. Other BJP leaders Yogi Adityanath, Mohan Yadav and Pushkar Singh Dhami also greeted him. Odisha's first BJP chief minister sworn in
Let us tell you that tribal leader and four-time MLA Mohan Charan Majhi took oath as the first BJP Chief Minister of Odisha on Wednesday. Senior BJP leader and MLA from Patnagarh KV Singh Deo and first-time MLA from Nimpara assembly constituency Prabhati Parida took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. Majhi, who was the chief whip of the BJP in the previous assembly, was elected to the Assembly for the fourth time in the recent assembly elections. He won from Keonjhar assembly constituency.

Governor Raghubar Das administered the oath of office and secrecy to him at Janata Maidan. This is the first time that a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has been formed in Odisha.
