In Jammu, where there were no SP Operations and DSP Operations within the police for many years, they have now been deployed there. Also, the police are being retrained for anti-terrorist operations. In the last few years, terrorists have increased their focus in the Jammu region of Jammu and Kashmir and have tried to re-establish their roots. This year itself, terrorists have increased security and carried out several attacks on the army and also targeted civilians. In view of the increasing activity of terrorists in Jammu, which was peaceful for 20 years, the Indian Army and Police have prepared a fresh plan for Operation Allout here. According to a senior officer of the security agency, more recruitments have been made and posts have been increased in the Special Operation Group (SOG) within the police. Apart from this, focus has also been placed on the training of SOG.
Village defense guards were also given training
Along with this, the Indian Army has also given training to village defense guards. They have also been provided with new weapons. According to an official, due to the prolonged silence, the police in Jammu also focused on monitoring the law and order situation and missed their exercise of anti-terrorist operations.
