National Eligibility Criteria UG Re-Exam 2024 Guidelines: A senior NTA official said on Friday that the NEET-UG re-exam will be held for 1,563 student candidates on Sunday, June 23, with officials from the National Testing Agency and the Union Ministry of Education present at the exam centres. The grace marks given to students for loss of time due to delay in starting of the exam at six centres in Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Gujarat and Chandigarh were later withdrawn. Six students had scored 720 marks in the NEET UG exam, while 61 others were accused of inflating their marks. The exam will be held again on Sunday at seven centres – six of which are new. “While all other exam centres have changed, the one in Chandigarh where only two candidates will take the exam will remain the same,” a senior NTA official said.

“Apart from this, officials of the agency and the Union Education Ministry will also be present at these centres. This step has been taken to ensure smooth conduct of the re-examination,” the official said.

Guidelines for NEET UG re-exam 2024:

  • NTA will re-conduct the NEET UG exam in 6 cities on June 23, 2024 from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM. Candidates will have to download their admit cards from exam.nta.ac.in using their application number and date of birth.
  • Wearing heavy clothing or long sleeves is not permitted.
  • Traditional dress is permitted, but candidates in such attire must report at least one hour before the last reporting time.
  • Wearing low-heeled shoes and slippers is permitted, but wearing boots is not permitted.

Any changes other than the guidelines in unavoidable circumstances require special permission or authorisation from NTA. Candidates must also bring their admit card, passport size photo, ID proof and other relevant documents.
