NEET Cancel: Will the NEET exam not be cancelled? The Centre filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court, know what the government is saying

NEET UG Exam 2024 News Today in Hindi: Well The latest update has come on the 2024 exam. This news can be a relief for lakhs of candidates and also sad for lakhs. The central government is against the cancellation of NEET UG exam 2024. In this regard, an affidavit has been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of the Government of India. In the affidavit filed on Friday, July 5, the Center said – 'There is no concrete evidence of breach of confidentiality in the examination held on May 5.'

Why does the government not want to cancel NEET?

The Center has said in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court regarding NEET 2024 that 'Cancelling the entire exam will seriously jeopardize the efforts of lakhs of honest candidates who appeared in the exam. Unless there is any evidence of violation of privacy in the NEET exam 2024 conducted across India, it would not be logical to cancel the entire exam and the results declared.'

At the same time, showing commitment towards conducting competitive examinations in a fair and transparent manner, the affidavit states that 'The Government of India believes that the confidentiality of question papers is the top priority in any examination. If confidentiality is breached due to some criminal elements, the Government of India believes that such people should be dealt with strictly and with the full force of the law. So that it can be ensured that they get punishment.'

Several petitions are pending in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of NEET exam, which is to be heard on July 8. However, some petitions have also been filed demanding not to cancel NEET 2024.
