MP Board New Pattern: Pattern of 5th and 8th class changed in Madhya Pradesh, this is how NCERT based exam will be conducted


MP Board NCERT Exam Pattern: The School Education Department has changed the pattern of school education in Madhya Pradesh. New instructions have been issued for the class 5th and class 8th examinations to be held next year i.e. in the year 2024-25. These guidelines are for all – government schools, recognized private schools, grant-in-aid schools and madrasas. The examinations will be based on NCERT books and syllabus.

These instructions have also been sent to all the district collectors. Keeping in mind the performance of the children in the examination, the weightage of marks has also been decided. Also, 20 marks have been fixed for the half-yearly examination, 60 marks for the annual written examination and 20 marks for project work.

Schools have been instructed to conduct the half-yearly examination as per the blueprint and time table prepared by the State Education Center. Apart from this, question papers for government schools will be prepared at the state level. Whereas private schools will have to prepare their own question papers based on the blueprint.

For the annual examination, question papers will be provided by the State Education Centre to all the registered students of class 5th and class 8th. Moreover, these question papers will be applicable for all – government schools, recognised private schools, aided schools and madrasas.

1. 5 objective questions will be asked. Each question will be of one mark. That is, there will be five questions in which you have to choose one correct answer from four options. One mark will be given for each correct answer.

2. Fill in the blanks There will be 5 questions in this, these will also be of one mark each.
Five sentences will be given in which one word is missing. You have to complete the sentence by writing the correct word. One mark will be given for each correct answer.

3. Very short answer type 6 questions Questions will be asked which have to be answered in one sentence. Two marks will be given for this.
There will be six questions which you have to answer in one sentence. For each correct answer, you will get two marks.

4. Short Answer Questions 6 There will be 50 questions which have to be answered in 50 words. Each question will carry 3 marks.
There will be six questions whose answer should not exceed 50 words. Three marks will be given for each correct answer.

5. Long Answer Questions 4 Each question has to be answered in 100 words. Each question will carry 5 marks.
There will be four questions which have to be answered in detail. Each answer should not exceed 100 words. Five marks will be given for each correct answer.

6. 20 percent questions in the paper will be easy, 60 percent average and 20 percent difficult.
To ensure that the exam is fair for all students, the question paper will have a mix of easy, medium and difficult questions.

MP Board question papers will be based on NCERT syllabus according to class and subject. Information and instructions related to the exam will be available from time to time on the website of Madhya Pradesh State Education Portal.
