Movie Review: Life is on its way

Everyone knows that no one could escape the havoc of Corona. It had scorched the whole world in its fire. Our filmmakers have brought films like 'Bheed', 'India Lockdown', 'Minus 31: The Nagpur Files', 'The Vaccine War' on this devastating epidemic. Director Aarti S. Bagadia's 'Chalte Rahe Zindagi' also continues the same sequence, but the novelty of the film is that it presents the complexities of human relationships on the backdrop of the Corona period.

Story of 'Life is moving forward': The story begins when the country is put under lockdown to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The story begins with three families living in a housing society in Mumbai. The common link between these three families is Krishna (Siddhant Kapoor), a bread and biscuit supplier. He is struggling with financial problems with his wife and son. In the first phase of the lockdown, Aaru (Barkha Bisht) discovers her husband's extramarital affair with his neighbour Arjun (Indranil Sengupta). Barkha also has a daughter. In the second family, Sushma (Flora Jacob) lives with her TV journalist son and daughter. Sushma had lent fifty thousand rupees to Krishna and now her son is pressuring her to get the money back from Krishna. In the third family, elderly Leela (Seema Biswas), her dancer daughter-in-law Naina (Manjari Phadnis) and teenage granddaughter Siya (Anaya Sivam) are struggling with tensions and conflicting desires. The characters in these three stories are facing struggles on their respective fronts due to the lockdown.

17 people were crushed under a moving train

Before talking about Aarti Bagdi's direction, it is important to tell that this film has been shot in the artistes' homes during the Corona period. This is the reason that some scenes have not been made that well in the shooting done due to limited resources, but Aarti has been successful in showing the emotions of various characters. Despite the film being short, it could have been made more crisp. Siddhant Kapoor's laborer angle in the story reminds of the tragic accident when 17 people were crushed under a moving train during the Corona period. The story connects in many scenes. The music of the film is average.

Siddhanth Kapoor is a surprise package

In terms of acting, the film is strong. All the actors have shown maturity in their roles. Siddhant Kapoor is the surprise package of the film. He has played the role of a poor bread seller very well. His sensitivity towards the character is clearly visible. Barkha Bisht and Indranil Sengupta have played their characters with restraint and depth. Seema Biswas has managed to give moments of entertainment as an elderly woman suffering from OCD. Manjari Fadnavis has won hearts in the role of Naina. Flora Jacob and Trimala Adhikari have also done justice to their characters.

Why watch –This movie is worth watching for its human emotions and acting skills.
