He said that during the 2024 general elections, the Indian Air Force will play an important role in increasing the reach of the Election Commission to remote areas of the country and places where there are concerns about the safety of movement by road. This work was time-bound, as polling officers had to be deployed at each remote polling station two days before the date of election and were to be relieved on the day of polling.
