He urged prominent personalities to raise their voices on the plight of Balochistan and ask the Pakistani government to pay attention to the human rights violations taking place in the region.

Karim distributed leaflets that highlighted a number of key issues, including the problem of missing persons and extrajudicial killings of missing persons. The leaflets also spoke about the suppression of peaceful protests by the Baloch Yakjehti and Pakistan's ongoing “occupation” of Balochistan, the report said.

He stressed the need for unity among various Baloch political parties in the UK to deliver a coherent message about Balochistan to the international community.

“Unless we work together, the world will not listen to us. It is important to show our unity so that the global community can join us on Baloch issues,” Karim said.

The activist said the conference, which is now the largest ever Workers Party union conference in Britain, is being attended by MPs, the UK Prime Minister, senior officials from various Workers Parties and human rights activists, the report said.

During his visit, Umar Karim met with several human rights organisations and UK MPs who pledged to hold upcoming meetings and events focused on the issues facing Balochistan.

He urged Baloch parties and human rights advocates to join these events and raise awareness about Balochistan on the international platform.
