Listen seniors… if you indulge in ragging, you will be in big trouble, DU has made proper arrangements


Delhi University will launch a campaign against ragging before the arrival of new students in the new academic session 2024-25. Students will be made aware to not indulge in ragging and to complain if they are ragged. Anti-ragging posters will be put up in Hindi and English. No outsider will be allowed to enter colleges, centres and hostels.

All colleges have been asked to use NCC and NSS students as volunteers. Police pickets will be set up outside girls' colleges. There will also be patrolling outside the campus. Delhi Police has assured DU that women police in plain clothes will also be deployed outside the college campus. Every principal, director, head, warden has been told that they have the right to take punitive action wherever needed.

  • Submit a written complaint in the college complaint box.

  • Contact UGC's monitoring agency i.e. Centre for Youth on 09818044577.

No ragging day and week in DU

DU will observe 'No Ragging Day' on August 12 and 'No Ragging Week' from August 12 to August 18. On July 25, DU's Proctorial Board met, which was attended by Delhi University officials as well as police officers. Several decisions were taken to stop ragging in university and college campuses.

An undertaking will be taken from all students and hostel residents as well as their guardians. The university will set up two joint control rooms in the North Campus and South Campus (phone number 24119832), which will function from August 1 to August 10.
