He learned the nuances of cricket at the Arunoday Cricket Academy located near the Ranchi Vidhan Sabha. Born in 2006, Gulshan was in class IX at that time and came to the cricket academy with his father. Academy director and head coach Arun Vidyarthi told Local18 that Gulshan came with his father and his only goal was to become a good cricketer, he was a very focused person.

he used to put in extra effort
Coach Arun says that every day there was a 6-hour practice in the morning. Gulshan practiced with full dedication, he used to come on time and leave on time. He was always focused and very disciplined. One special thing about him was that he used to practice for three to four hours extra after the normal practice. Apart from this, he used to discuss his game with people.

There was no lack of hard work and effort in him. This quality was ingrained in him from childhood till the eighth grade.

He was very fond of eating
Coach Arun says that Gulshan is very fond of eating. He liked to eat different types of veg and non-veg things. Apart from this, Gulshan was very mischievous. He used to live in the academy's hostel and used to hide the food of other children in the hostel. There was no dearth of mischief, but when it came to practice, he used to be completely focused.

Gulshan's international career
Gulshan has played 27 ODIs and 31 T20 matches for Nepal so far. Right-arm fast bowler Gulshan has taken 21 and 19 wickets respectively. He has scored 514 runs with the help of three half-centuries in ODI cricket and 382 runs in T20. In T20 cricket, he has scored these runs at a strike rate of 136.
