After that he did further studies from RG Kar Medical College. In the year 1994, he completed his MBBS and became an orthopedic surgeon. After that, in the year 2021, he was made the principal of RG Kar Medical College. Even two years after becoming the principal, the former deputy superintendent of the college, Akhtar Ali, had filed a complaint against Sandip Ghosh with the State Vigilance Commission.
